HEIRLOOM HOURGLASS
At Heirloom Hourglass they handcraft hourglasses that are used as gifts. They are most popular for the use in the wedding sand ceremonies. They offer over 100 models, colors and finishes to match any wedding theme. All are handcrafted to order in upstate NY.
This is a really neat idea. I had never heard of this ceremony before Heirloom Hourglass submitted their site to be considered here at the HCC blog. It's so romantic and sweet. The way the two sands combine into one - They are married - Just as they become one - so the couple, the man and wife become one. Never to be separated again. I just may incorporate this into our next wedding. (hubby and I get married to each other to celebrate each decade we are married. 4 more years and it will be our 3rd marriage. (20 years!) We had our first wedding - then at 10 years we got married again on the beach in the Bahamas - next time we plan to go to Vegas to have a grand time there. This would add to the romantic and serious part of it. Definitly something to think about :)
